The role of Anaesthesiology department at Santhiram General Hospital is predominant, and important in performing various surgeries, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Opthalmology, Obstetrics and ENT Surgery. The highly skilled medical teams are experts in administering the right types and amounts of anesthesia in the operations.

During the surgeries, the patients should be kept comfortable by relieving them from the pain associated with the respective processes. For this purpose, anesthesia is used, and it is highly effective in blocking the pain, relaxing the patients, and makes them sleepy, forgetful and unconscious during the surgery.

There are different types of anesthesia, like General, Local and Regional. They are used according to the surgery type, and the amount of anesthesia to be used is decided by taking various factors into consideration. The expertise of our anesthetists becomes evident during these conditions, as they administer the usage precisely, so that no complications arise during the surgeries, and the patients are operated in safe conditions.
