Department of Forensic Medicine

The causes of death and the relevant facts are always of prime importance for the legal matters. Forensic Medicine is the concerned department, which provides the required medical facts to the legal authorities, which are of immense value in providing justice to the respective parties.

Various processes are carried out to understand the factors involved in the death, autopsy in particular. The body parts are examined closely by making several incisions on the corpse, and the reasons for the death are assessed accurately. Also, the exact time at which the incident had occurred is also estimated by the usage of advanced medical devices.

The trait of insect and micro-organism feeding on the dead corpse is taken into account for estimating the death time. The level of decomposition of the dead body can reveal these facts. Also, an in-depth analysis is conducted to know about the types of weapons or poison used to kill the subject, which form strong evidences in the medico-legal cases.
