Physiology is the study of life, where the complete mechanisms of the human body are interpreted and studied. There are different body functions, which are essential for us to sustain, and an in-depth analysis of them can lead to the provision of effective treatments for various diseases.

For us to live healthily and work, numerous interactions between the several body systems are required. For example, the coordination between the nervous and musculo-skeletal systems is required to carry out our day-to-day activities. Every process in the human body occurs subconsciously, and they are important for different body functions.

Santhiram Medical College’s Physiology Department emphasizes on this aspect, and it aims to impart the respective knowledge to our students. This study starts with the interpretation of single cell functions, and extends to a huge array of subjects. A highly focused environment is required for the students to understand this vast field effectively, and we provide the most experienced teaching faculty and exemplary laboratories for this purpose.

Physiology is the well rounded approach to understand the human body better, along with the Anatomy Department. The findings in this arena can lead to path breaking developments in the medical treatments, including the surgeries and drug therapies.
